Day 12- Winter art: inspired by snowy fields and springtime hope.

Mid January and the golden threads are still showing through the little blanket of snow. Mid January!

I remember when I was a kid, we had tunnels through the mountain of snow next to our driveway. It was a true winter wonderland: snow sculptures, skiing, that sliding on the golf course’s second hole, that “tag” game we played by tracing a pie shaped maze in the snow.

I don’t know if I’ve ever been a super fan of winter, but I wish we had a little bit more snow right now. It’s winter after all. Some say global warming, I think the Earth’s climate has always been in a state of change throughout its 4.5 billion-year history. But i’m not here to talk about politics. I’m here about my painting of the day.

Winter’s Field: 8×8 on plywood

Inspired by the golden field in winter’s white, yet dreaming of the spring’s warm light.
