Day 23- Leap of Faith

Day 23- Leap of Faith

If I received a medal for every leap of faith I’ve taken in my life, I’d have a whole trophy case by now. I’ve always followed my heart, jumped into the unknown, and trusted that everything would work out for the best.

To name a few, here are a few leaps I’ve taken (society would say unconventional):

– I bought tickets to the Olympics in Sydney on a whim. I ended up traveling alone to Australia on a one-way ticket, with no accommodations booked.

– I’ve switched careers multiple times without experience.

– I left a job to start a new business.

– I sold everything to work on a cruise ship and see where it would lead

Some might call me crazy for taking these leaps. They weren’t always popular decisions. But I didn’t make them for others; I made them for myself.

I didn’t always have it easy, but the universe always provided for me in one way or another. I’m grateful for that. I am proud of all those life experiences.

Taking a leap of faith involves risk and uncertainty. But what’s the worst that can happen? I’d rather try and fail than dying never knowing what could have been.

So here’s to letting go of the need to control everything. Let go of your fears and trust that things will work out. While I can’t guarantee success, I can promise that it will lead to personal growth, no matter what.

Go for it!

Leap of Faith, 8×8, acrylic on canvas

About today’s piece:

I took a little leap of faith on this painting today, stepping out of my comfort zone, taking a chance and trying something a little different. I stopped myself here, before I went into too much detail. The usual me would just be halfway through the process. But I’m pretty happy where it’s at (I just can’t look at it long or I’ll want to head to the studio and add to it!) .

Share with me a time when you took a leap of faith and how it turned out!
