When business-ing gets in the way of art-ing

Being an artist is not always about art-ing. Making a living from our art requires a lot of behind-the-scenes work.

I wish it was only about art.

The Business-ing Trap

I get caught up in emails, social media, accounting (if I’m smart), networking, and before I know it, hours, even days have passed and I’ve barely created anything, or nothing.

Theorically, i know how I should manage my time: schedule creative time, schedule business time, prioritize tasks… etc etc. Theorically.

Practically… is another story.

My problem is how Procrastination comes very comfortably in the equation. I won’t even talk about that monster today.
