Day 30 and 31

« Growth is the only evidence of life » ~ John Henry Newmon

February is here, and I’m a bit behind. I had to postpone my Day 30 and 31 to work on a private commission with a looming deadline. I didn’t like breaking up with my January Challenge for this, but business called.

On a brighter note, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to my new followers! Your support and comments mean a lot to me.

A heads-up: my blog won’t be as active this month as it was in January. Maintaining daily updates was a significant undertaking- even more so for someone who is super slow at writing!!

That said, this past month has shown me the value of engaging with the blogging community. There are super cool people on here!

And writing my mind on here is surely more beneficial than doing the scroll of death on social media platforms. Right? Anybody else find themselves mindlessly scrolling?  A major waste of time. Blogging this past month has introduced me to a different community of like-minded individuals.

I’m looking forward to continuing our conversations and connections here.

I’ll do my best to share updates and insights in the coming weeks!

Meanwhile, here’s a very colorful « Tree of Life » : a painting I had quickly done as a spare, earlier on in January.

Tree of life, 8×8 acrylic on wood

Maybe this tree now, for me, represents the foundation I have slowly been building for myself. I’m reminded of the growth and connections I’ve experienced through this past month, through my art and blogging. Maybe the tree branches stretching outward is me reaching and connecting with new people in the art world.

Or maybe it’s just a very weird colorful tree.
